iCollect Toy Cars: Hot Wheels App Reviews

After buying and using it, I read the other reviews. Everyone was bad. Apparently people dont understand how to use it because this is a great way to organize your hot wheels collection. You can add your own pictures and description for each car. Its a great way to keep up on which ones you have when youre at the store. On the other hand a barcode scanner would make it better but no complaints on my end. Highly recommended!

I could deal with the lack of scanning support for Hot Wheels and the tedious nature of entering the cars in my collection. But after nearly three months and entry of 300 items my effort was wiped out due to what support blamed on a power outage. The only good back up they had was three months old, hence the complete loss of my entries. Over priced to begin with, this app has been a real disappointment. Bad programming and slack infrastructure maintenance should send you somewhere else for a collection app.

Great idea at first, as more people get it the more my collection changes, now my collection is mostly wrong, make it so my collection stays mine. fix that and it would be perfect!

Does not have option to deleted individual cars from catalog

Its awesome but everytime I add cars that I cant find on search right after I take the 1st and 2nd picture the program crashes and youll have to start over. 4 star coz of the bug

Amazing app. There is nothing else like it. There is a great database of cars to choose from. But it is a shared database and anyone can make changes to entries. Good on iPad too but I had to make separate app purchase thats why only four stars.

Nice app, but it needs more flexibility to add or delete fields. I do like that it saves to more than one device on the app.

I like that they have so many presets for different types of collections. Also, if you find that there is a category entry that needs to be added, they can be easily contacted and I got a positive response in just a few hours. Great app, and great developers! :):)

This app has a great concept; though it does still have quirks/ bugs. If you email them, they respond and try to resolve. I have had very good communication anytime a problem arises! It is what every toy car collector needs(especially for those who collect Hot Wheel variations) ; as you will always have your collection with you. Note however that the iPad version is not going to get you the phone version... They are separate purchases; but do work well together. Your collection will be the same and update on both! Without this app I would forget what I already have!!! Keep up the good work on those minor kinks :)

Love the app, helps me organize and keep track of my hot wheel collection. I just wish when I make an entry other app users cant change the fields you entered. If there was a way to lock in the info you enter it would be an easy 5/5. Overall a very well created app.

Please add a function to read barcodes! Would be handy for adding to our collections. Grate app tho!

I have thousands of items yet to enter so its hard to say how this app will perform (I have 150-200 items entered). However, thus far I am very pleased including the export capability. To make it a 5 star app, it should be able to download pictures (export) along with the data. I should also be able to access my "collection" from a web browser. The last thing is field "help" that provides examples for appropriate input to the field (entry). Beyond that, Im pleased so far and will continue to utilize it.
